About The Position

We are searching for a dynamic, service-driven Lead Server to oversee the dining venues across our community. As a Lead Server, you will ensure smooth and successful front-of-house operations, direct and support servers, and provide outstanding service to residents and guests. You’ll maintain high standards in appearance, sanitation, training, team coordination, and overall dining experience.

Requirements

Minimum age: 18+
At least 5 years of front-of-house experience
Strong communication and customer service skills
Basic computer proficiency
Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly
Ability to work collaboratively with residents, staff, and families

Nice To Haves

Prior supervisory experience preferred
High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

Oversee servers and ensure compliance with the Bishop Gadsden Dress and Appearance Policy
Maintain sanitation, nutrition, and DHEC standards
Ensure smooth operations across all dining rooms
Assist servers during meal service as needed
Handle guest concerns professionally and promptly
Conduct service meetings and help train new team members
Promote teamwork and collaborate with management on process improvements
Supervise team members and uphold high food-service standards
Monitor side work and closing procedures
Maintain retail/bistro inventory and place orders as needed
Secure dining areas, equipment, and cash drawer at close
Adhere to Resident Rights, HIPAA, safety procedures, and fire drill participation
Maintain professional appearance and conduct
Attend mandatory trainings, meetings, and facility events
Support the department with additional duties as needed
Practice fiscal responsibility in the use of Bishop Gadsden resources
