About The Position

In this position... Opening is for a fuel systems EVAP core components D&R engineer position. The D&R would be a member of a larger core component D&R team tasked with developing and maintaining EVAP hardware that allows vehicle platforms to meet current and future EVAP emissions requirements. This position requires strong engineering, analytical, and communication skills to be successful. Responsibilities What you'll do... Lead overall design, validation, and launch of fuel system EVAP components, potentially including vapor control valves and vapor pressure sensors. Manage system engineering and integration into the EVAP architecture and vehicle platforms Manage design rules and design guides for related components Support tech club reviews for related components to ensure that all design requirements are met. Support issue resolution including supplier engagement, data collection and analysis to support root cause confirmation and corrective actions Manage component and system level validation testing to support implementation ready signoffs and engineering milestone signoffs Communicate status and issues to broad audience including senior management and program teams Qualifications You'll have... BS in Engineering or related degree. MS in Engineering preferred. 2 years minimum of design and release experience. Proficiency in the usage of D&R tools such as WERS, Teamcenter, FEDE, Global 8D, DFMEA, DVP&R, PV, GSARS and APQP as well as applications such as Minitab and Excel Familiarity with fuel system components, materials, and their manufacturing processes Self-starter with excellent communication skills who can look ahead at program deliverables, develop a workplan to cover all vehicle platforms and drive the process both inside of Ford and with the supply base to meet the deliverables Strong problem-solving skills for complex issues using a data-driven approach Strong organizational skills You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply! Requirements

  • BS in Engineering or related degree.
  • 2 years minimum of design and release experience.
