The Student Success Graduate Assistant (GA) serves as a coach supporting the Fulbright College Student Success team in student engagement and outreach efforts. In this role, the GA works directly with current students through emails, text messages, in-person meetings, and campus events to foster connection and promote academic success. Outreach initiatives include creating engaging communications and personalized materials, such as time management strategies and study plans, to encourage strong response rates and guide students throughout their academic journey. The coach also provides clear information about student success programming and campus resources, ensuring students are aware of the support available to them. Collaboration is a key component of the position, with the GA building and maintaining relationships with instructors, advisors, and student support staff, and meeting regularly with faculty and staff to coordinate targeted outreach for courses with high DFW (D, F, Withdrawal) rates. Ongoing tracking and analysis of outreach efforts help assess effectiveness and inform continuous improvement strategies.
