Requirements

  • 3-5 years of progressive responsibility Full-Charge Bookkeeping experience.
  • Accounting degree or certification.
  • Highly proficient in QuickBooks (Desktop and Online) and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Very high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate issues at all levels in the organization and externally with clients.
  • Ability to be a team player and collaborate with other team members in the organization.
  • Ability to pass a background check (includes criminal and credit) upon receiving and accepting an employment offer.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of Buildertrend or other construction software is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and effectively manage workload.
  • Comfortable handing day to day client communication and able to work with various client accounting systems.
  • General ledger maintenance, payroll tax processing and reporting, and B&O preparation; including:
  • Payroll tax & payroll tax deposit
  • Various city revenue tax/B&O
  • Annual information: 1096, 1099-MISC
  • Check figures, posting and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy and proper codes.
  • Classify, allocate, record, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records using journals and ledgers or computers.
  • Accurately enter accounting data.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliation of bank and financial statements.
  • License renewals.
  • Liaison for insurance and audit related duties/inquiries.
  • Other duties as assigned
