About The Position
The Mississippi Department of Finance & Administration is seeking a third -level professional position accountable for <\/div> performing complex assignments often requiring the development of new or improved applications, processes or <\/div> techniques. Accountable for application design and creation, application security, validation, evaluation and <\/div> implementation. Works on and solves complex problems where analysis requires in depth evaluation of various <\/div> factors. Provides complex technical support in relevant fields of discipline. Mentors less experienced staff. <\/div> Thorough knowledge of .NET Framework 4.0.0, ASP.NET (VB.NET), .NET Core, Windows Server versions 2025, 2022, <\/div> 2019, and 2016, IIS, Microsoft SQL required. IBM DB2, Red Hat Linux, and Drupal CMS knowledge will separate <\/div> candidates. The person selected will be expected to upgrade multiple existing applications to the latest .NET CORE <\/div> version as well as make several changes to the database and function of the application to enhance functionality. <\/div>
Requirements
- A four -year degree from an accredited school in Computer Science, Information Technology, or like field.
- Seven (7) years or more of direct and specific experience creating applications in multiple programming languages
- Five (5) years or more of direct database design and administration.
- Five (5) years or more of experience with application and database security, privacy, and compliance decisions.
- Thorough knowledge of .NET Framework 4.0.0, ASP.NET (VB.NET), .NET Core, Windows Server versions 2025, 2022, 2019, and 2016, IIS, Microsoft SQL required.
