About the position

We're looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join Procore's Product & Technology Team. Procore software solutions aim to improve the lives of everyone in construction, and the people within Product & Technology are the driving force behind our innovative, top-rated global platform. We're a customer-centric group that encompasses engineering, product, product design and data, security, and business systems. In this Full Stack Engineer role, you'll help design, build, and support location-aware, map-based experiences that drive productivity for construction workers and contractors worldwide. You'll work with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable web solutions that enhance the construction lifecycle. You'll use your skills in React, TypeScript, Python, Postgres, and other technologies to build robust features and contribute to the overall system architecture. Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design and development of web-based solutions that support business and user needs.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software and platforms.
  • Write clear documentation to support knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Debug and resolve technical issues to help ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Participate in code reviews and team discussions to maintain technical quality.
  • Balance project requirements with long-term goals to support sustainable growth.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of combined software engineering experience, with a strong emphasis on building scalable web-based solutions.
  • Experience with TypeScript and React required.
  • Experience working with web applications or platforms, including contributing to projects at scale.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of engineering tasks and support technology improvements within a team.
  • Good understanding of how to balance immediate project needs with long-term objectives.
  • A BS or MS degree in Computer Science, a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Node.js, Python, Postgres, AWS Cloud Services, Terraform, Ruby on Rails, and Service-Oriented Architecture preferred.
  • Experience or strong interest in GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and data visualization, particularly with mapping libraries like Mapbox, Maplibre, Leaflet, or geospatial databases like PostGIS preferred.
