Full Stack Software Engineer II (Onsite)

About the position

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is seeking a highly motivated and talented Full Stack Software Engineer II with a strong interest in the design, development and maintenance of full-stack, AI-based enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will be passionate about developing software solutions and solving complex problems, in support of the customer mission. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and validate software product(s). This position will be on-site in Tysons Corner, VA.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy full-stack, AI-based enterprise applications on an AI Platform
• Test, troubleshoot, and enhance customer software applications with and on behalf of customers
• Identify application performance bottlenecks and implement optimizations
• Conduct design and development reviews of customer software applications
• Write application specifications and documentation

Requirements

• Software development experience with JavaScript and Python
• Requires theoretical to advanced knowledge of solving problems with software
• Experience solving problems through exercise of discretion and/or judgment, drawing from prior experiences, with analysis of the issue
• Experience making changes or enhancements in systems and processes
• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Git or other software version control
• Experience working with JavaScript frameworks such as React, Redux, Vue, Backbone, or Angular
• Experience deploying software to at least one of the leading cloud computing platforms (i.e., GCP, AWS, Azure)
• Understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms and web application development
