Full Stack Web Application Developer

About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and skilled web developer to contribute to our web and mobile projects. Full stack experience is preferred but not required. We have opportunities in both front-end and back-end development. We value your overall abilities, not just your experience with specific technologies or frameworks. You will be joining a small company, the majority of which are software developers or engineers. You will be part of a small team working on diverse projects, which may include web, mobile, desktop native, or cloud-native applications. You will be collaborating with other developers, designing front end components. Qualified candidates for this role should possess experience developing applications utilizing modern web application frameworks and be familiar with best practices. Requirements

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Science or related field.
Experience building web applications using modern web frameworks and core web technologies.
Experience working with SQL and/or NoSQL database.
Experience in building responsive web applications.
Familiarity with RESTful API integration and handling asynchronous operations.
Experience working with a UI/UX team and understanding of UX principles.
Comfortable working with version control systems (Git).
Great organizational and time management skills.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Citizenship or lawful permanent resident required due to federal position.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Angular, Ionic Framework.
Experience with Node.js or similar back-end technologies.
Experience with game development engines (Unity, UE4).
Familiarity with CI/CD tools.
Familiarity with a diverse set of databases (e.g., Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB).
Proficiency with programming languages including Typescript, C#, C++, Go, Python.
Data analysis and visualization.
Exposure to system design principles.
Familiarity with Docker and containerization principles.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.

Responsibilities

Developing and maintaining complex software applications.
Collaborating with other developers and UX team.
Designing customer-facing UI and back-end services for various projects.
Running diagnostic tests, identifying bugs, and ensuring the application runs smoothly across different devices and browsers.
Recommending and implementing improvements to processes, tools and technologies.
Keeping informed of advancements in the field of modern development technologies.
