About The Position

A warm and friendly family in Shreveport, Louisiana is seeking a full-time nanny to begin in mid-April. The role will focus on the care and development of their 6-month-old son. The family is open to relocation candidates. This is a collaborative and respectful household where both parents are actively involved. The mother works part-time from home, while the father is in the Air Force with a hybrid schedule that includes periodic travel. The family values professionalism, partnership, and a proactive approach, and they are seeking a nanny who can seamlessly integrate into their home while helping guide their child’s development and milestones. Their son is a happy, content baby with an established sleep routine. He is currently experiencing mild motor delays related to torticollis and is actively working with a physical therapist. The nanny will play a key role in supporting his development through daily exercises and attending appointments. The family prioritizes a structured, predictable routine and a calm, communicative caregiving style focused on development and emotional awareness. The ideal candidate is experienced with infants, proactive, organized, and warm, with the ability to take initiative while maintaining strong communication with parents. The family is seeking a long-term fit (2–5 years), with potential for relocation with the family in the future.

Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • CPR certified
  • Fully vaccinated (Does NOT need to include COVID)
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Comfortable driving own vehicle to transport child (reimbursement provided)
  • Non-smoker
  • Passport ready and willing to travel
  • Comfortable with a friendly non-shedding dog in the home
  • Confident swimming and able to safely supervise a child in the pool
  • Significant experience caring for infants
  • Strong understanding of infant development and milestone progression
  • Proactive, organized, and able to take initiative independently
  • Warm, calm, and emotionally intelligent
  • Ability to partner with parents and provide guidance when appropriate
  • Strong communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Full care for a 6-month-old infant
  • Maintain structured daily routines including naps, feeding, and developmental activities
  • Support physical therapy exercises and attend related appointments
  • Prepare bottles and introduce solids (purees and baby-led weaning approach)
  • Plan and engage in developmentally appropriate activities supporting motor and language development
  • Taking the child on outings to parks, zoo, library, playdates
  • Take child to appointments, activities, and social outings
  • Maintain nursery organization, inventory, and closet rotations
  • Clean and sanitize bottles and baby-related items
  • Handle full family laundry
  • Run occasional errands (e.g., grocery pickup, household support tasks)
  • Coordinate baby-related schedules and needs
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding development, routines, and milestones
  • Maintain a calm, structured, and predictable environment
