Requirements

• Bachelor degree in accounting (Masters in Accounting or MBA preferred)
• 0-6 years + experience with a background in public accounting and/or public company preferred
• Little to Advanced knowledge of GAAP
• Fluent in computer programs such as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).

Nice To Haves

• Certified Public Accountant/CFA or candidate preferred
• Experience with Yardi general ledger a plus

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and maintain the accuracy of all financial information recorded and reported
• Utilize knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, knowledge of Company accounting policies and professional judgment to determine or recommend appropriate recording of transactions
• Ensure the proper and continuous flow of accounting activities needed to maintain accurate complete financial records
• Maintain effective communication with other departments as a basis for assuring complete and accurate financial information and appropriate documentation
• Coordinate with supervisors to provide tax adjustments and supporting schedules necessary to file companies’ tax returns
• Prepare analyses necessary for efficient quarterly reviews and annual audits
• Review the work of other team members prior to review by the department manager
• Assist in special projects as needed
