About The Position

Headquartered in Coventry Rhode Island, Seaside Casual Furniture manufactures outdoor furniture out of EnviroWood®, an all-weather, low-maintenance, eco-friendly material made from recycled bottles and jugs. As a division of a family-owned and operated business for over 100 years, Seaside Casual has been leading the casual furniture industry with its award-winning design and manufacturing since 1996. PURPOSE: A Furniture Assembler is responsible for performing various tasks to set up, build, package and troubleshoot outdoor furniture assemblies. Assemblers will also be responsible for inspecting assemblies and items to specifications as necessary to maintain quality specifications. Working as part of a team to meet and exceed production goals and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Basic reading and math skills
  • Basic computer competency such as MS Windows, email, and word processor.
  • Ability to problem-solve independently.
  • Concentration.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Able to follow instructions and production schedules.
  • Able to act quickly and appropriately when a problem arises.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs routinely
  • Stand on their feet for a prolonged amount of time
  • Performing repetitive actions that entail frequent lift need to bend, lift, carry, and stretch to perform their duties
  • Visual acuity to read instructions and inspect parts produced.
  • 40-Hour workweek must be available for overtime as needed.
  • High School Graduation or equivalent.
  • Must be able to interpret visual guides to complete assembly of the product
  • Mechanically inclined, familiar with light production tools such as drills, routers, sanders, and tape measures.
  • Experience in a production environment a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Assemble plastic parts to form sections, frames, or complete articles of furniture
  • Drill holes and drives screws to join parts using power tools
  • Inspects and verifies the accuracy of the assembled article for conformance to standards
  • Works with other team members and operations to meet daily production goals.
  • Other duties as specified by Management.
  • Assures products are produced to companies quality standards.
  • Performs secondary and cleaning operations as needed.
  • Work independently in a team environment.
  • All other duties Perform all other duties as assigned including carrying out responsibilities, performing duties, using skills, and working in conditions necessary to perform all assigned tasks
