About The Position

Job Title: Gelcoat Technician Department: Gelcoat Reports To: Department Supervisor FLSA Status: Hourly Essential Duties and Responsibilities Tack off mold surface to remove dirt and debris. Spray gel coat color into mold to produce color of part. Touch up gel coat to remove mill gauge marks. Clean jagged edges of paint line & tack mold surfaces not painted. Calibration of spray equipment on weekly basis, more often as required. Daily maintenance & cleaning of equipment, area, and department. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• No prior experience or training.
• Ability to read, print, and speak simple sentences.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide.
• Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
• Ability to understand and follow proper safety and production processes and procedures.
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
• Must be able to understand and execute top quality expectations.
• Must work efficiently and in the safest manner possible, always following all safety policies and protocols.
