About The Position

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Canyon AeroConnect maintains an ongoing talent pipeline for engineering professionals across multiple disciplines including Systems, Electrical/RF, Mechanical, Manufacturing, and Test. We regularly seek professionals in the following areas: Systems Support system architecture, requirements development, and interface definition. Assist with safety assessments (FHA, FMEA) and certification documentation. Maintain requirements for traceability and verification of records. Electrical / FPGA / RF Design and analyze avionics circuits, PCBs, wiring, and power distribution systems. Develop and verify FPGA hardware in accordance with DO-254 guidance. Design and integrate RF components including antennas, transceivers, filters, and amplifiers. Perform RF analysis, signal integrity evaluation, and EMI/EMC mitigation. Support environmental qualification testing per DO-160. Mechanical Engineering Design avionics enclosures, mounting provisions, structural brackets, thermal management solutions, and antenna installations. Ensure compliance with environmental, vibration, thermal, and structural requirements. Support installation design packages and aircraft integration drawings. Collaborate with structural teams regarding antenna placement, grounding, bonding, and lightning protection. Manufacturing Support Partner with production teams to ensure design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA). Develop manufacturing work instructions and support first article inspections (FAI). Support supplier qualification and technical oversight. Resolve production nonconformances and support root cause and corrective action processes. Test and Certification Develop and execute verification and validation test plans. Support bench, environmental, ground, and flight testing. Prepare test reports and certification documentation. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering field Experience in aerospace, avionics or aircraft environments Familiarity with FAA certification processes Competencies Systems-level thinking and multidisciplinary integration capability. Strong understanding of safety-critical design principles. Detail-oriented with strong documentation discipline. Effective communicator across engineering, quality, operations, and regulatory teams. Requirements
