About The Position

The General Foreman is involved with managing commercial construction projects and assists with project needs including material management, personnel, schedules and communication with the project management team, customers and building officials. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Knowledge of project schedule/milestones, submittals, contract documents (addenda, specifications, drawings) and in-house shop drawing. Ability to coordinate with other trades to complete HVAC/piping installations within the project scope and schedule. Experience managing project crews to install multiple types of HVAC and Duct Systems. Accountable for the safe performance of personnel and equipment. Understanding/complies with the company tool policy and can pass these values to less experienced employees. Involved with completing paperwork and daily reports, next week's plans, accident report, disciplinary reports, etc. Education, Training, Licenses and/or Certifications 5 or more years of experience as a mechanical foreman on commercial HVAC construction projects EPA universal certification Master or Journeyman HVAC Tradesman Certification preferred but not required OSHA 30-Hour certification preferred Computer aptitude to learn new systems / software Additional Requirements Maintain a positive, cooperative and teachable attitude Requires mechanical aptitude, mathematical and English language skills Experience overseeing shop personnel - journeyman and apprentice/helpers Complies and promotes company Safety Policy Initiative; self-motivated (driven), self-starter Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to complete required documentation electronically Analytical and problem-solving skills Professional demeanor and positive, caring attitude. Must be able to work independently and without supervision. Ability to stand, squat, bend, kneel, climb, and comfortably lift up to 50 lbs. Familiarity with blueprint, schematic, drawings, and other equipment layout materials Ability to pass a drug screening Ability to pass MVR check Ability to travel, as needed based on project needs. Requirements

  • 5 or more years of experience as a mechanical foreman on commercial HVAC construction projects
  • EPA universal certification
  • Requires mechanical aptitude, mathematical and English language skills
  • Experience overseeing shop personnel - journeyman and apprentice/helpers
  • Complies and promotes company Safety Policy Initiative; self-motivated (driven), self-starter
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to complete required documentation electronically
