In this role, your responsibilities will include coordinating with crew members, subcontractors, and suppliers, as well as ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Your responsibilities will also include assigning tasks, providing guidance and supervision, and ensuring that work is completed according to project specifications and quality standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Holds a current General Electrical certification through the state
  • At least 5-10 years of related experience
  • Must be able to travel and be away from main domicile (home) location for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work all required shift and or over time hours required for the project unless time off is already previously requested and approved.

Responsibilities

  • Capable of managing projects with a workforce minimum of 50+
  • Capable of managing projects with a minimum of 5+ subordinate Foremen
  • Effectively communicates and coordinates work and activities with Project management team, GC, owner reps, crew members and other trades.
  • Forecasts Training and order manpower, material, tool & equipment needs well in advance to ensure that the proper tools/equipment, materials, information, manpower & other requirements are on the project when needed.
  • Proceeds with work via written and verbal instructions, plans, drawings & specifications.
  • Identifies, schedules and facilitates all jobsite related inspections.
  • Documents and reports all disciplinary issues to HR and implements any actions or procedures as instructed by HR or supervisor.
  • Performs 10-5-2-1 on all installation activities
  • Completes a weekly SIS (Short Interval Schedule) with a minimum of 2 weeks forecasted
  • Participates in daily and weekly team meetings
  • Demonstrates strong expertise in all aspects of trade related materials, components, equipment, systems, methods of installation, safety procedures, safe work practices, basic calculations, blueprint and drawing interpretation & troubleshooting.
  • Possesses leadership qualities to effectively direct a crew
  • Meets or exceeds project schedules, productivity standards & monetary budgets.
  • Directly responsible for the supervision and management of all employees under his/her jurisdiction.
  • Evaluates employees under his/her supervision in a timely manner.
  • Performs other project related duties and assignments as instructed by supervisor
  • Ability to ensure a safe workplace, employee compliance with safety and health policy and reduce exposure to liability risks such as theft or damage
  • Ability to represent the company in a professional manner and to keep both the customer’s and company’s best interest as a priority

  • Provides a level of guidance, training and mentorship to all lower-level employees
  • Proficient at the interpretation and application of electrical blueprints, internal shop drawings and details.
  • Proficient at the interpretation and application of architectural, civil, structural, plumbing and utility blueprints.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of construction scheduling and critical path management (CPM).
  • Plans and schedules work for subordinate supervision, lead persons and crew as needed.
  • Completes, in an accurate & timely manner, administrative requirements and documentation such as time sheets, labor coding, daily logs, material and tool requisitions, man loading schedules, incident/injury reports & employee notifications.
  • Proficient at interpreting basic construction related accounting reports; e.g. job cost & risk detail).
  • Monitors labor productivity, quality control and direct the crew in such a manner so as to meet project schedules and production quotas.
  • Prepares detail drawings for job as needed.
  • Directs and performs work within all applicable code standards (NEC, CEC, Title 24, Utility standards, City standards, etc.)
  • Works with tools alongside crew when required or as directed.
  • Proficient in digital technology and systems, including computers, iPads, phones, and all job-related software and applications
  • Forecasts and identifies training and development needs for all lower-level employees within a timely manner
