Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English. 
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
  • Must be comfortable operating machinery and using cutting knives.
  • Display good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • All candidates must pass pre-employment screening, drug screen, physical and criminal background screening.

Responsibilities

  • Operate roll wrapping equipment to wrap rolls with poly.
  • Use scanners to scan rolls or manually enter them into roll tracking system.
  • Use roll tracking system to generate bundle tags, check to ensure accuracy.
  • Wrap rolls according to customer specifications.
  • Check rolls for quality workmanship, advise supervisor of poor-quality rolls. 
  • Clean equipment, maintain a manufacturing area free from debris and dirt, and readies or puts away materials as assigned.
  • Trim and/or cut rolls to smaller sizes or to be baled as required.
  • Keep timely and accurate records.
  • Check roll wrapping supplies and replenish when needed.
  • Review roll labels and check for accuracy.
  • Cut down, re-wrap and re-label rolls/bundles as necessary.
  • Work as a member of the roll wrapping and shipping team to maintain flow of finished product from the machines to the trucks or inventory.
  • Work safely following all safety policies and procedures.
  • Must work well with others and take directions from supervisor.
