About The Position

General Carbide Corporation is hiring full-time General Laborers with a starting wage of $18.00–$21.00 per hour for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts. Shift differentials are available for 2nd and 3rd shifts. Requirements

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
• Ability to understand and follow instructions provided in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule format
• Must be able to wear a respirator and maintain a clean-shaven face to ensure proper fit
• Position requires regular standing, walking, and reaching with hands and arms
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
• Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts while performing job duties

Responsibilities

• Weighs materials and performs basic mathematical calculations.
• Operates equipment including, but not limited to, granulators, Fitz mills, scales, ball mills, vacuum dryers, presses, and saws.
• Follows supervisor instructions and completes tasks in accordance with established guidelines.
• Maintains files and records and responds to inquiries related to powder preparation.
• Performs routine maintenance and keeps equipment and the work area clean and organized.
• Maintains responsibility for tools and fixtures used in the work area and performs additional duties related to the powder preparation department as needed.
