About The Position

Were looking for a detail-oriented General Ledger Accountant to support accurate financial reporting and month-end close in a dynamic, growing organization. Agency experience is strongly preferred for this role is ideal for someone who understands project-based accounting, multiple cost centers, and the pace of client-driven work. You'll play a key role in maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, collaborating cross-functionally, and helping leadership understand the financial story behind the numbers.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
3–6+ years of accounting experience
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
Experience with accounting systems (NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas)
Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment
Comfortable juggling multiple priorities and deadlines
Strong attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture
Clear communicator who can work across teams
Proactive mindset—sees problems before they become problems

Nice To Haves

Agency, professional services, or project-based accounting experience strongly preferred
CPA or CPA-track is a plus, not required

Responsibilities

Own and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances
Support project/client accounting, including revenue recognition and expense allocation
Assist with financial statements and internal reporting
Partner with AP, AR, and FP&A to ensure clean financial data
Support audits and provide documentation as needed
Continuously improve accounting processes and controls
