Systems Application & Technologies, Inc. SA-TECH supports munitions delivery training for Air Force, Army, Navy and Marine Corps air and ground crews through USAF Air Combat Command’s Primary Training Ranges (PTR). We deliver OM&S services to PTR bombing and gunnery (B&G) ranges and electronic warfare (EW) ranges, supporting remote threat emitters, mission data processing, range communications, weapons impact and electronic combat scoring. We are currently looking to hire a General Maintenance Worker (GMW) on a part-time seasonal basis (30 hours per week from roughly June 2 - October 31) at our PTR site at Mountain Home Air Force Base near Bruneau, ID to perform basic maintenance on range vehicles, equipment and targets. This position requires practical skills in various trades such as welding, fencing, heavy equipment operation and general vehicle maintenance. The GMW performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge (but not proficiency) in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work. Work involves replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors; using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings; repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets; painting structures and equipment; repairing or replacing concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks; replacing damaged paneling and floor tiles; hanging doors and installing door locks; replacing broken window panes; and performing general maintenance on equipment and machinery. The following additional job functions are all a part of the basic requirements (although other duties may also be added): Repair, replace or build targets Inspect, service and operate assigned firefighting vehicles Perform routine preventative maintenance on vehicles, heavy equipment, water pumps and small gasoline engines to ensure operational status Document services, repairs and discrepancies on vehicle forms Perform wild land fire suppression within the boundaries of the range Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts Use and maintain common hand and power tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills and wrenches etc Operate heavy equipment to build or repair gravel roads, fire breaks, target area earthen berms, place or remove targets on the impact area Repair, replace, build Bureau of Land Management-approved barbwire fencing Provide grounds keepings services such as landscaping and debris removal Perform general cleaning of buildings or properties Work Conditions: Performs work indoors and outdoors Must be able to climb ladders, work in elevated areas and confined spaces and the capability to work on high voltage and radio frequency circuits. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Job demands will require physical dexterity and flexibility. Must be physically able to sit, stand, kneel and climb. Is subject to high noise levels and vibration. Required to work under stress. Is subject to call at all hours. This is a seasonal part time position. Position would be 30 hours per week from 30 May - 31 October.
