About The Position

GDIT is seeking a motivated individual to contribute to the VLS team based in Chesapeake, VA. The successful candidate: Performs a variety of general maintenance tasks including; but not limited to; lifting and moving materials up to 100 lbs.; loading and unloading vehicles and other activities in a helping or assisting means. Must have experience using basic hand tools such as ratchets, drills, grinders, etc. Must be able to perform other tasking under direction of supervisor. Transports materials; tools; and equipment to and within work sites as required. F ollows established policies and procedures for VLS work. Operates hand and power equipment, including forklift, for material handling. Participates in special projects as required. Qualifications: HS/GED 1+ years experience. The likely hourly rate for this position is between $20.24 - $24.15. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
