About The Position

Sodexo’s Campus Segment is seeking an experienced General Manager 5 – Food Service to lead dining operations at East Texas A&M University. The General Manager's position will have oversight and leadership responsibilities for all food and beverage operations at the unit. The General Manager will partner and communicate daily with clients and will have full operational and financial accountability for Residential Dining, Catering, and multiple retail units including a full service Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant. The GM5 will provide strategic direction, inspire team/operational excellence, ensure top-tier food quality, and build strong relationships with campus partners to support student engagement and campus events.

Requirements

• have a work history demonstrating strong employee engagement leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively
• have culinary production experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance
• can manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service
• prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed
• Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experienceMinimum Management Experience – 5 yearsMinimum Functional Experience – 5 years

• demonstrate working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management System (FMS) The Market Connection (TMC) and is proficient in computer skills and report management experience. This does not apply to external candidates

Responsibilities

• Lead a dining program with a focus on innovation, customer satisfaction, and financial performance
• Build strong client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for strategic decisions
• Oversee operations across residential dining, retail, and catering functions
• Ensure compliance with food safety, labor, and regulatory standards
• Guide and develop staff, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability
• Identify opportunities to enhance service delivery and implement creative, cost-effective solutions
• Use data-driven insights to manage budget, forecast revenue, and optimize profitability
