RESPONSIBILITIES Production & Assembly Operations: Perform mechanical assembly, structural installation, component mounting, and related TOB build activities according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and production schedules. Material Handling: Move raw materials, subassemblies, and finished components within the facility using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks, carts, cranes, or forklifts (if certified). Blueprint & Work Instruction Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and bills of material to ensure accurate assembly and installation. Quality Verification: Inspect work to ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements; report discrepancies or defects promptly. Equipment Operation: Operate hand tools, power tools, and production equipment safely and effectively. Testing Support: Assist with basic inspection, fit-up verification, and pre-functional checks to support downstream testing and commissioning activities. Documentation: Complete production logs, checklists, quality documentation, and work order updates accurately and in a timely manner. Safety & Housekeeping: Follow all safety procedures, wear required PPE, maintain a clean and organized work area, and support 5S and lean manufacturing initiatives. Team Collaboration: Work closely with supervisors, engineers, quality personnel, and fellow operators to meet production goals and drive continuous improvement. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, safety, and quality within the IMPB TOB production process. QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or GED required Previous manufacturing, industrial assembly, construction, or modular building experience preferred Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices Forklift or crane certification preferred (or ability to obtain certification) Basic math and computer skills for documentation and production tracking Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality Ability to work effectively in a team-based, fast-paced production environment PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS This position may require standing for extended periods, repetitive motions, climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in a manufacturing or industrial assembly environment. Exposure to noise, moving machinery, overhead lifting equipment, and varying indoor temperatures. Flexibility to work different shifts, weekends, or overtime as required by project schedules.
