SUMMARY Entry level production position in various departments within Extrusion department for Taber Extrusions. Actual position and shifts will be discussed in interview for alignment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including the following. Other duties may be assigned. Follow operator and supervisor's instructions when assigned to a particular machine as support personnel Understand and follow instructions Follow all plant safety policies and practices Visually inspect and conduct quality checks; alert operators and supervisors of non-conforming quality product Cross train on other machines Willingly work as part of a team when assigned to different machines and equipment Complete necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner, including but not limited to: Production Data, Machine Operational Status, Safety Data and Quality Data Be proactive in the maintenance of equipment; if is not working notify immediately your supervisor or the operator for needed repairs Switch duties with first helpers as necessary Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed. Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping Makes recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality and service goals. Wears personal protective equipment at all times in the production area. Adheres to production schedule. Report to work on time as scheduled. Additional duties may be assigned by management.
