About The Position
This position is responsible for entry level non-skilled general labor while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Job duties could include: Accurately applying labels to shipping boxes Repeatedly stacking frozen product overhead (up to 40 lbs.) Packing multiple bags of product into boxes Inspecting product and removing items from a moving conveyor belt Assist with product handling, sorting, and /or stacking Remove waste, scrap, and recyclable materials according to plant procedures Keeping any chicken and any other trash off of the floor using a squeegee and a shovel to keep the floor clean Weight product according to product specifications Maintaining quality control and following safety standards in a fast‑paced production environment Working Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts as needed Performing all other duties as assigned by the supervisor This position is being hired with the expectation of overlapping responsibilities in anticipation of a current team member’s potential departure. If the incumbent team member does not leave, the selected candidate may be reassigned to a comparable role or placed in a general labor position, based on operational needs. Requirements
- Must be willing and able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Work environment temperature varies based on area assigned, range between -10 to 75 degrees
- Reaching, pulling, and/or pulling may be required throughout the shift
- May require extended periods of standing and/or walking on cement floors
- Some jobs have repetitive arm, wrist and hand movements; overhead reaching and lifting; bending, stooping and twisting
