You will direct activities in the division personally or through subordinate managers, ensuring key results are attained driving towards the long-term vision. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, sales/marketing, management, related field or equivalent experience required
  • 6 years of retail sales management experience required
  • 6 years experience in one of the product categories that will be managed required
  • PC experience with Microsoft Office proficiency is preferred
  • Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills. Professional appearance, positive attitude, sense of urgency
  • Ability to work night, weekend and/or early morning hours based on business needs
  • Pre-employment screening includes, but isn’t limited to, criminal background check

Responsibilities

  • Coach, train, recruit, hire and support staff through the development of vision and direction, while providing regular feedback and recognition
  • Set performance objectives for department managers, develop skills, hold staff accountable for goals and complete paperwork accurately and timely
  • Establish staffing levels for departments to sustain a sufficient number of staff to complete tasks while upholding budgets
  • Develop and strengthen the overall sales franchise with profit and expense responsibility
  • Conduct monthly management staff meetings and quarterly all staff meetings, share appropriate information and develop agendas that oversee the mission and critical measures of the department
  • Network with local and regional GSMs including communications to teams about operational, advertising and coordinating merchandising communication with buying team to ensure the best possible market results
