What you get to do: As a Supervisor of Maintenance & Water Quality, you’ll assist the manager with leading the team in the daily operation and coordination of building maintenance repairs, plumbing (water and sewer), concrete repair, caulking, asphalt, culinary equipment, air pneumatic systems, natural and propane gas systems, fire systems, storm drains, netting, sump pumps, and other general facility systems. In addition, you will support water quality monitoring and compliance for park water features and attractions. You will:

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • At least 3 years practical experience in the maintenance field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to become certified in AIMS or NAARSO (Level1) within one year
  • Possession of a valid state driver’s license and ability to obtain a company driver’s license.
  • Ability to meet company driving guidelines.
  • Possess or be able to obtain certification to operate mechanical devices including, forklift, man-lift, and bobcat within 90 days of acceptance of position and maintain certification.
  • Ability to lead several projects concurrently, organizing and planning workload.
  • Effectively motivate and train a diverse workforce to task completion.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare scopes of work and job walks for contract bids, and read and interpret building codes and construction documents.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP applications.
  • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot issues.
  • Ability to successfully work within a team environment.
  • Must be able to positively interact with guests and co-workers of all ages, different ethnic/cultural backgrounds and/or language, and individuals with special needs.
  • Must be able to safely handle and work around pool and water treatment chemicals in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrate the ability to complete all green tag inspection SOP training and associated equipment and pass a maintenance exam prior to park opening.
  • Ability to perform all procedures related to adherence of company and governmental regulations for water quality including, daily start-up, sampling, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work on and interpret manufacturers’ manuals and Have general understanding of proper electrical wiring methods and troubleshooting methods.
  • Have a working knowledge of various building/installation codes as well as OSHA regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting water quality operations, chemical handling, or aquatic systems is preferred.
  • Ability to become certified as Pool Operated (CPO) or Aquatics Facility Operator (AFO) within one year.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for daily operation and coordination of maintenance team, ambassador schedule and daily work assignments.
  • Assist with daily maintenance operations including preventative maintenance and corrective repairs throughout the park.
  • Support water quality operations including testing, monitoring, documentation, and ensuring compliance with all applicable safety and health standards.
  • Assist with maintaining water quality logs, chemical records, and operational reports as required.
  • Coordinate and respond to water quality issues in a timely manner to ensure guest safety and attraction readiness.
  • Train and develop new and existing ambassadors.
  • Work with the manager to develop and communicate training schedules and feedback sessions.
  • Coach, mentor, and evaluate ambassadors; provide input for written evaluations and performance appraisals.
  • Assist manager with managing labor and expense within assigned budget.
  • Assist with project management and long-term planning.
  • Support job walks, vendor coordination, and development of scopes of work for contractor bids as needed.
  • Ensure excellent customer service by responding to and anticipating customer requirements, expectations, and needs.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to safety requirements; ensure ambassadors receive all required safety training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
