About The Position

The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has a job opening for General Supervisor in the ARC- Adult Rehabilitation Center. Job Summary Supervises, plans, develops, coordinates, prioritizes, and monitors the day-to-day business activities for the Center including, but not limited, to the store, truck, warehouse, and auction operations while minimizing overall labor costs. The General Supervisor is to ensure that the above operations comply with federal, state, and local statutes and are performed within The Salvation Army's policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of general office practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of general supervision and management of personnel.
  • Ability to read, understand and follow written instructions, policies, procedures and/or guidelines in various manuals.
  • Ability to apply attention to detail and to perform assigned work with minimal errors and within established time constraints.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field, and five years progressively responsible experience performing various business activities or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Valid State Driver’s License.
  • Ability to meet attendance requirements.
  • Ability to sort and file documents alphabetically and numerically.
  • Ability to operate general office equipment including a telephone, typewriter, computer and adding machine.
  • Limited amount of physical effort required associated with sitting, walking, standing, lifting, twisting, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, and carrying light objects (usually less than 25 lbs.) 5-10% of work time.
