Meaningful Work and Personnel Impact: As a Generator Mechanic (General), the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of supporting PM FPS (Product Manager, Force Protection Systems) in SWA. This will require the Mechanic (General) to provide sustainment maintenance and perform periodic PMCS maintenance on all types of Elevated Sensors generators ranging in size from 2kW to 100k. Perform operational checks, induction and return to service inspections, troubleshoot faults, remove, and replace components, service generators, remove and replace fluids, adjust and alignments, use hand tools and electronic measuring devices such as AC/DC voltmeters and ohms meters Read, understand, and follow technical manuals, engineering documents, schematic diagrams, safety bulletins, and news flashes; be able to input data into databases and be able to retrieve data to perform maintenance or provide reports as requested Enters and updates in COLTS (or similar such as RCLS) to ensure one is tracks and updates all work orders to include the replacement of parts’ component serial numbers removed and replaced, including compliance with Import/Export (ITAR/EXIM) Multi-task, prioritize commitments, and manage time effectively including attention to detail while providing real-time updates in a rapid, time-sensitive customer orientated environment both verbal and written capacity What You’ll need to succeed Education: Associates of Arts/Associates of Science (years of experience in lieu of degree considered) Experience: 5+ years of related experience (9 years without AA/AS) US Secret Security Clearance Required (Day One; Must maintain active clearance) Must be willing to support up to an 84-hour Extended Work Week or work week assigned to PDY or TDY work week based on mission requirements including travel within SWA as required (Inclusive of Travels via military/commercial conveyances to outlying areas to support mission) Must be capable of meeting standards of fitness for deployment to the SWA of Operations to comply with CRC requirements; Must be able to successfully be capable of meeting standards of fitness for deployment to the SWA of Operation yearly while residing on contract in SWA Ability to withstand physical demands of seasonal hot or cold temperatures and willing to live and operate in an austere environment with the ability to meeting physical demands of the position that can included but not limited to: ability to lift 50 lbs. climb ladders, kneel, squat, stand, bending, carrying, climbing, hearing extreme noise levels, and other physical requirements to meet the position requirements GDIT IS YOUR PLACE At GDIT, the mission is our purpose, and our people are at the center of everything we do. The likely hourly rate for this position is between $36.78 - $49.76. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted. Requirements

  • 5+ years of related experience (9 years without AA/AS)
