The Strata program’s mission is to provide geospatial visualization services (GVS) that facilitate access to GEOINT data and products in an online, on-demand environment to agencies across the Federal Government. The GVS suite of services are provided to the community in various formats to allow integration across a wide variety of client technologies and applications. GVS also provides applications that can be used to visualize GEOINT as well as additional utilities & technologies that aid in visualization. Successful candidates for this position will have training (BS) in a science or technology related discipline, experience in software or systems engineering, and previous experience working within a team environment utilizing Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). The ideal candidate will also have experience with OpenStreetMap (OSM), QGIS, ArcGIS Enterprise, Linux command line, and AWS. This position requires a current TS/SCI clearance and is contingent on contract award spring of 2026. #LI-CS1

Requirements

  • Linux command line experience
  • Security+ Certification (or equivalent DoD 8140 certification) required prior to start date
  • Experience using QGIS, ESRI's ArcGIS software suite, or OpenStreetMap
  • Active ⁠Top Secret Clearance to Start with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of OSM data structures (PBF, XML) and QGIS data handling (vector/raster, GDAL/OGR)
  • Experience scripting geoprocessing workflows in Python (PyQGIS, GDAL)
  • AWS experience
  • Agile/SAFe experience translating GEOINT user stories into concrete GIS features, acceptance criteria, and test cases
  • Experience with ESRI's ArcGIS software suite
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • BS in software, systems engineering, geographic information systems, related technical field or equivalent military or job experience
