Geotechnical Engineering Technician
About The Position
Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is excited to announce the opening of a new office in Grand Prairie, Texas, and we are seeking a full-time Geotechnical Engineering Technician to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity to be part of the foundation of a new location, with strong potential for career advancement as the office expands. Responsibilities include construction observation and testing of soil, concrete, and other materials. GTA provides all necessary Personal Protective Equipment, including a high-visibility vest, hard hat, gloves, safety glasses, and a safety-toe boot reimbursement. Overtime is expected and paid at time and a half, with occasional weekend work. This role offers excellent training, certification opportunities, and long-term career growth with a thriving company. Office Address: 850 Greenview Drive Grand Prairie, TX 75050 NOTE:This position may require standing for extended periods as well as repetitive motions such as lifting or hammering. The employee must have the ability to use their hands to handle, finger or feel; reach, climb or balance; crouch, stoop, crawl, kneel and sit, see and smell; including close, distance and peripheral vision, depth vision and ability to focus.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or College Degree
- Ability to lift 60 pounds or more on a regular basis
- Own Reliable Transportation
- Good Driving Record
Nice To Haves
- Previous Soils and/or Concrete Testing experience desired
- ACI, Hazmat, ICC, NICET certifications (preferred)
