About The Position

Whitestone Associates, Inc., a 100% employee-owned company and leading provider of environmental and geotechnical engineering and consulting services throughout the eastern US, is currently looking for a Geotechnical Laboratory Technician Intern to join our team this summer.
This is an excellent opportunity for students in engineering, geology, or the physical sciences to gain hands-on experience in a professional lab setting. This internship is a paid, part-time position with flexible hours.
Location: Alpha, NJ

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
• Previous coursework in a Soils Laboratory is a plus, but not required. Comprehensive training will be provided.
• The estimated pay range for this position is $20 to $22/hr.

Responsibilities

• Performing laboratory tests on soils and concrete under the guidance of our Lab Manager
• Assisting with data entry and interpretation of test results
• Transportation of sample materials for laboratory analysis
• Supporting the Lab Manager with ad-hoc duties and special projects as needed
