About The Position

NOVA Engineering is seeking a motivated Geotechnical Project Engineer to join our growing Kennesaw, GA team. This is a great opportunity for an engineer who wants to build a long-term career, gain hands-on experience, and work alongside experienced professionals on meaningful projects across the Southeast. At NOVA, you won’t be stuck behind a desk all day. You’ll be involved in a wide variety of projects—commercial, industrial, transportation, government, and residential—while developing both your technical skills and project leadership abilities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution, or an equivalent international degree with NCEES credential evaluation, is required
EIT license is required
3 - 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering is required
Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus

Responsibilities

Lead and manage geotechnical engineering projects from inception to completion.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Operate and maintain geotechnical testing equipment.
Classify soil, rock, and geological samples obtained from drilling operations.
Assist in developing the scope and budget of work for routine projects.
Analyze data, perform engineering calculations and analysis, and reporting data to clients under the direction of a Professional Engineer.
Interacts with client and project team.
Participate in business development activities, including proposal preparation and client presentations.
