About The Position

The Department of Psychiatry at the University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine is seeking a geriatric psychiatrist to join its outpatient care team. This position will provide outpatient clinical services at the Byrd Institute and will conduct and manage various clinical trials.

Requirements

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency training program.
• Must meet university criteria for faculty appointment to the rank of assistant professor, associate or professor.
• Candidates must have or be eligible for an unrestricted Florida medical license.
• This candidate must obtain credentialing with USF Health.
• If clinical, Board Certified/Eligible in: PSYCHIATRY
• Geriatric Psychiatry experience

Responsibilities

• Supports various clinical trials including conducting medical assessments, overseeing study interventions and assessments, data collection and overall coordination of research trials according to protocols.
• Provides outpatient psychiatric clinical care to include the evaluation, diagnosis, assessment, treatment and care of adult patients.
• Completes open encounters and other clinical documentation in a timely manner.
