About The Position

We are seeking a highly capable and collaborative Software Development Manager to lead and support our Analytics Platform Team (APT), which is responsible for building and maintaining advanced analytics capabilities across the organization. This role will have full administrative and HR responsibility for APT and provide administrative leadership and facilitation for the Data Science team, ensuring alignment with Product Management and smooth collaboration between both teams. The ideal candidate will thrive working with highly skilled, self-motivated teams, focusing on enablement, coordination, and facilitation rather than directive oversight. This position requires exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills to manage geographically dispersed teams across multiple time zones (North America Pacific Time to Athens, Greece), with many team members working remotely.

Requirements

  • Capacity to direct highly qualified and autonomous teams by means of an approach of facilitation
  • Solid experience in management HR and administrative
  • Empathy and cultural sensitivity for the management of teams distributed on a global scale
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and in communication, allowing to make the link between technical parts taken and non-technical
  • Aptitude to the resolution of conflicts and to the search for consensus
  • Capacity to establish a climate of confidence and transparency between teams
  • Solid skills in planning and in coordination of complex initiatives implying several teams
  • Capacity to align the technical work with the business objectives and the strategy product
  • Experience of the agile methodologies and the animation of agile rituals
  • Good understanding of the practices of software development and the analytic platforms
  • Familiarity with the flows of work in data science and the enabling technologies
  • Capacity to estimate the technical compromises and to promote the best practices
  • Aisance in a dynamic environment and constantly in evolution
  • Capacity to manage the ambiguity and to bring clarity in complex contexts
  • Proactive approach to identify the risks and to set up strategies of mitigation

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Proven experience managing software development teams
  • Exposure to advanced analytics, data platforms, or data science environments
  • Experience managing remote and globally distributed teams

Responsibilities

  • Assume the full responsibility administrative and HR of the team of the analytic platform (APT)
  • Collaborate closely with the technical manager of the APT in order to realize the vision of the team
  • Encourage a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement
  • Support the professional development, the management of the performance and the commitment of the members of the team
  • Act like point of liaison between the team of the analytic platform and the Data Science team
  • Facilitate the planning, the coordination and the agile rituals of the initiatives in data science
  • Ensure the alignment between the analytic development and the priorities of the management of product
  • Supervise the planning of resources, the balancing of workloads and the coordination of projects
  • Implement process improvements in order to increase the efficiency and the capacity of delivery of teams
  • Maintain a clear and coherent communication with the set of the parts taken
  • Support the realization of the work in data science thanks to the capacities of the analytic platform
  • Promote the technical excellence and the evolutivity of the analytic solutions
  • Ensure the respect of the organizational standards and the best practices
