About The Position

The Gift Shop Associate is a service-oriented team member with a friendly, welcoming demeanor who assists customers with their purchases. Responsibilities include accurately operating and managing the inventory system. Schedule: Tuesday–Friday, 9 a.m.–4 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m.–4 p.m.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
Prior retail experience, preferably in a boutique style shop.

Responsibilities

Helps with the ordering and restocking of sundries, snacks and drinks.
Models, excellent communication and customer service skills with patients and fellow employees.
Responsible for the accurate operation of the cash register and inventory system.
Prepares cash reports, and cash reconciliation.
Receives new shipments; unpacks boxes and prices merchandise.
Assists in maintaining order of merchandise displays and basic cleaning.
Maintains reasonably regular punctual attendance, consistent with Baptist Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards.
Maintains compliance with all Baptist Health policies and procedures.
Participates in monthly departmental meetings and all related in-services and PI activities.
Observes all departmental rules and regulations.
Interacts appropriately with a culturally diverse population.
Follows chain of command when communicating departmental and individual concerns or problems.
Knowledgeable of Patient Satisfaction goals. Works consistently to exceed the system’s objectives by reporting concerns and suggesting creative ideas.
