About The Position

General Definition: Conducts monetary transactions and provides sales assistance to gift shop patrons in a professional and ethical manner. Essential Job Functions: Greets gift shop customers and offers advice as requested in a friendly, professional manner. Receives cash or checks or completes credit-card charge transactions according to established procedures. Counts money to verify amounts and issues receipts for funds received. Issues change and compares totals on cash register with amount of currency in register to verify balances. Resolves customer complaints when possible and reports concerns to Department Head. Monitors checkout stations to reduce customer delay. Furnishes information both printed and verbal regarding all customer related services provided throughout the facility. Provide direction regarding all informational services and products to groups scheduled for specific events. Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly and service oriented manner. Maintain and complete all opening /closing duties and cash handling procedures according to established policies. Performs other related duties as may be assigned by reporting senior. QualificationsEducation & Experience: High School Diploma or GED Six (6) month related experience and/or training; or combination. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent customer service, communication skills, and ability to work as a team required. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Cash Handling Training: Responsible Gaming Licenses/Certifications/Other: Must be able to pass a background check and receive a license or permit from any Regulatory Agency if applicable to perform the essential job functions Physical Requirements: The physical demands and work environment characteristics described are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Six (6) month related experience and/or training; or combination.
  • Excellent customer service, communication skills, and ability to work as a team required.
