Requirements
- Advanced Linux administration for enterprise GIS deployments
- ArcGIS Enterprise configuration on Linux (Portal, Server, Data Store)
- Shell scripting for automation and troubleshooting
- Proficiency in Linux security hardening and patching
- PostgreSQL/SQL Server tuning for GIS on Linux
- Performance optimization and ArcGIS Monitor
- SAML/LDAP integration with Portal
- Publishing workflows and caching strategies
- ArcGIS SDK, REST API, Python scripting
- Experience Builder Developer Edition and custom widgets
- Real-time GIS (GeoEvent, Velocity)
- Experience with Linux clustering or high-availability setups
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker) or virtualization for GIS
- Familiarity with Linux-based security compliance standards
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting mindset
- Ability to train and transfer knowledge to technical and non-technical staff
- Must be able to work onsite in Portland, TX for approximately three to four months.
Responsibilities
- Validate ArcGIS Enterprise architecture on Linux servers
- Provide guidance during Linux-based installation and configuration
- Configure Portal, ArcGIS Server, and Data Store; federate servers
- Optimize Linux server settings for GIS performance
- Recommend and configure DBMS (PostgreSQL or SQL Server)
- Create and manage Enterprise Geodatabases with branch versioning and attribute rules
- Deliver best practices for publishing and workflow optimization
- Conduct system validation and provide staff training
- Other duties as assigned
