We are currently seeking a GIS Intern to work with the Property Owners Association in updating and creating GIS data
Requirements
Actively enrolled in an accredited Geographic Information Systems, Geography, or related, Undergraduate program with an anticipated graduation date of December 2025 or later.
Demonstrated interest in Geographic Information Systems, or related field, and have a strong desire to advance skills related to WSP’s work and projects.
Experience using ESRI ArcGIS and ArcGIS PRO software.
Proficiency using Microsoft Office, mastering Excel.
Competent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience.
Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools.
Responsibilities
Basic principles of GIS database development, qualitative/quantitative analysis, and mapping
Compile, manipulate, and refine geographic data from a variety of sources
Perform regular quality control checks of spatial and non-spatial datasets to ensure data integrity
Collaborate with team members on project tasks related to GIS, database design and management, and data visualization
Customize GIS workflow and software programs for data collection
Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
