The GL & Intercompany Accountant holds primary responsibility for the general ledger of the Warrenton manufacturing plant and provides centralized oversight of intercompany accounting across all Aerotech entities. This role ensures the completeness, accuracy, and integrity of financial records while maintaining compliance with GAAP, IFRS, SOX, and Oshkosh corporate accounting standards. The Warrenton plant currently operates on Syspro ERP, while other Aerotech entities use Syteline 7, with a phased transition to Infor LN ERP beginning in 2026–2027. This role supports accounting consistency and financial integrity across multiple ERP platforms and assists with upcoming system transitions. This is an onsite role based in Orlando, Florida. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Two (2) or more years of relevant experience OR Finance/Accounting internship within Oshkosh Corporation
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Proficiency in intercompany accounting, including transfer pricing transactions and profit in inventory (PII) accruals and eliminations
  • Experience with account reconciliations and financial close processes
  • Experience working within ERP systems
  • Ability to work productively and cohesively in a diverse and multicultural environment

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the monthly close process for the Warrenton plant, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting in compliance with the Corporate Accounting Policies and Procedures (CAPP) Manual
  • Provide centralized oversight of intercompany accounting across all Aerotech entities, ensuring accurate recording, reconciliation, confirmation, and settlement of intercompany transactions
  • Prepare and reconcile transfer pricing transactions and calculate profit in inventory (PII) accruals and eliminations to ensure elimination-ready consolidation balances
  • Analyze and prepare monthly financial results for management; investigate and resolve discrepancies and unusual account fluctuations
  • Partner with plant leadership, operations, supply chain, and corporate accounting teams to ensure financial transparency and alignment
  • Support internal and external audit requests and execute assigned Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls; maintain appropriate documentation over internal controls
  • Assist in ERP system alignment and data validation activities during the transition from Syteline 7 to LN, including intercompany mapping and reconciliation support
  • Monitor intercompany aging and drive timely resolution of outstanding balances
  • Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives while leveraging Continuous Improvement Management System (CIMS) tools and concepts
  • Champion the Oshkosh People First competencies to engage, develop, and connect team members
