Job Description As a Security Officer - Front Lobby Desk in Milpitas, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will welcome visitors, manage access control and badging, answer phones, and monitor lobby activity while documenting security-related observations. You will be a key point of contact for employees and drivers, delivering strong customer service and clear communication. Requirements

• Have at least 6+ months of security-related experience.
• Type at least 40 WPM.
• Be at least 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and associates at a front desk by following site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Manage access control for a logistics and distribution location by screening visitors, issuing badges, maintaining sign-in and/or sign-out logs, and directing guests to the appropriate contact.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems from a stationary post and report unusual activity through established escalation channels.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and coordinating with site leadership and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Support inbound and outbound operations by verifying delivery appointments, checking identification for pickups and drop-offs, and communicating with dock staff to help to deter unauthorized access.
