The Global Category Manager – Facilities is a individual contributor responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategy for all major Facilities OPEX categories, including Integrated Facilities Management (IFM), Physical Security, Corporate Culinary, Transportation, Building Services, Tenant Improvements (TI), and other technical facility operations. This role owns category direction, leads negotiations, ensures supplier capability and resiliency for active global operations, and partners directly with Facilities Operations, Physical Security, Engineering, Real Estate, EHS, and Finance to enable safe, reliable, and cost‑effective site performance. The position requires strong commercial judgment, deep understanding of facilities operations and service delivery models, and the ability to influence stakeholders across a global, matrixed environment.

Requirements

  • 10–15+ years in Procurement, Category Management, or commercial roles supporting Facilities, IFM, Physical Security, TI, or technical building service categories.
  • Proven success leading complex negotiations and managing high‑value facilities portfolios in multinational environments.
  • Experience influencing leaders across operations, engineering, real estate, EHS, and finance.
  • Expert skills in sourcing strategy, negotiation, market intelligence, contract structuring, and risk allocation.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including cost modeling, scenario analysis, and OPEX planning.
  • Deep understanding of IFM delivery models, facilities operations, security programs, culinary services, TI processes, and technical service environments.
  • Clear, concise communication style suited to executive audiences and cross‑functional alignment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own the multi‑year sourcing strategy for Facilities OPEX categories, including IFM, Physical Security, TI, Culinary, Transportation, and technical building services.
  • Align category strategies to operational reliability, capacity planning, and global site requirements.
  • Define preferred delivery models, commercial frameworks, supplier tiers, and competitive landscapes.
  • Drive disciplined governance for sourcing checkpoints, commercial evaluation, and supplier award decisions.
  • Lead strategic negotiations for largescale IFM, building services, security, transportation, and facility operations agreements.
  • Structure and negotiate complex frameworks including MSAs, rate cards, IFM operating models, technical scopes, and site‑level service bundles.
  • Partner with Facilities Operations, Engineering, and Finance to validate budgets, cost models, SLAs, and risk allocations.
  • Provide category insights and market intelligence supporting operating plan cycles, TI planning, and facility readiness.
  • Build and maintain a resilient supplier ecosystem across IFM partners, security integrators, facilities trades, culinary operators, and transportation providers.
  • Execute supplier segmentation, preferred supplier programs, and capability assessments.
  • Manage -level supplier relationships, including performance reviews, escalations, and operational roadmap planning.
  • Ensure suppliers meet expectations for safety, quality, cost predictability, uptime, responsiveness, and ESG performance.
  • Deliver measurable value across cost reduction, avoidance, operational efficiencies, and total cost of ownership.
  • Identify and mitigate commercial, operational, supply chain, and geographic risks affecting global facilities operations.
  • Integrate carbon reduction, sustainability, and social responsibility requirements into category and supplier strategies.
  • Ensure category compliance with procurement policy, contracting standards, and audit readiness.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of sourcing tools, templates, and digital reporting for facilities procurement.
  • Leverage benchmarking, cost databases, performance dashboards, and predictive risk analytics to guide decision‑making.
