About The Position

The Global Director of Digital & Technology for Compass Group at a high tech single client account is a strategic leadership role responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive technology roadmap. This role will partner closely with senior leadership within both our organization and the client's to ensure alignment and drive innovation across all aspects of technology utilization. This individual will be the primary point of contact for all technology-related matters concerning the account, ensuring seamless service delivery, continuous improvement, and the achievement of client priorities, namely supporting excellent user experience, culinary menu management, digital hospitality and business reporting through efficient, effective and measurably successful deployment of solutions. This role requires significant travel to each location to meet with key clients and Compass stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience (10+ years) in technology leadership roles, preferably within the food service or related industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful technology strategies.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with digital ordering, menu management, digital signage platforms and relevant technologies used in the food service industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Technology Roadmap Development & Execution: Develop and operationalize a global technology enablement framework specific to the account, encompassing infrastructure, applications, and innovation. This includes defining standards, and procedures to ensure technology reliability, security, and compliance.
  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary technology liaison with the client, building strong relationships and understanding their business needs and strategic priorities within the Food Program. Proactively identify opportunities to leverage technology to enhance their operations and achieve their goals throughout the account, globally.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Oversee a small team of technology system and implementation professionals, fostering a high-performance culture and providing opportunities for professional growth and development. Oversee resource allocation and talent management within the team.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee the day-to-day operations of technology systems supporting the account, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. Implement robust service management processes, reporting and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Innovation & Transformation: Partner closely with Compass Group Technology to identify and evaluate emerging technologies relevant to the food service industry and champion the adoption of innovative and applicable solutions to enhance the client's business. Lead digital transformation initiatives and drive the development of new technology-enabled services.
  • Financial Management: Manage the digital technology budget for the account, ensuring cost-effectiveness and maximizing ROI. Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of technology initiatives.
  • Risk Management & Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant security standards. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to protect sensitive data and ensure business continuity.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders across various functions (operations, finance & analytics and the CoE) and external partners to achieve common goals. Communicate clearly and effectively with the client and internal teams regarding technology initiatives.
