About The Position

Meta is seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Global Distribution Manager to lead our worldwide logistics and distribution operations. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient, timely, and cost-effective movement of goods, supplies, and equipment across our global facilities and supply chain.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in global logistics, distribution, or supply chain management, with a proven track record of success in Operations
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with Transportation Management System (TMS) implementation and use
  • Expertise in Rate Management and Carrier Performance, including negotiating ideal rates and terms, and developing and tracking key performance indicators
  • Established competence to leverage quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends and drive optimal supply chain execution, including standardizing data analysis across cross-functional partners (e.g., finance, planning, fulfillment)
  • Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to align logistics operations with organizational goals
  • Confirmed expertise to drive continuous improvement, development, standardization, and implementation of processes and systems

Responsibilities

  • Engage with internal customers to gain an in depth understanding of their current and future distribution and logistics needs
  • Shape the customer-facing strategy of the team and roadmap internal activities in support of the overall mission
  • Manage and coordinate the Internal Transportation Operations, which involves the movement of goods, supplies, and equipment within the organization's facilities
  • Develop and implement efficient transportation routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery
  • Formalize and standardize data analysis and coordination across IBOS and cross-functional partners, including budgeting, planning, fulfillment, finance, and transportation, to mitigate and manage risk
  • Determine optimal supply chain execution through quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Negotiate ideal rates with carriers and transportation providers to ensure cost-effective solutions (Rate Management and Benchmarking)
  • Conduct regular benchmarking analysis to compare rates and services with industry peers and competitors
  • Identify opportunities for rate reductions and implement strategies to achieve them
  • Develop and maintain relationships with carriers and transportation providers to ensure high-quality service and compliance with organizational standards (Carrier Sourcing and Performance Management)
  • Conduct regular carrier performance reviews to evaluate service quality, on-time performance, and claims management
  • Develop and negotiate contracts with carriers to ensure ideal rates and terms
  • Develop and track key performance indicators to measure carrier performance, including on-time delivery, transit times, and various levels of cost reporting
  • Analyze data and metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges, and develop strategies to address them
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align logistics operations with organizational goals and objectives, and to identify and prioritize initiatives to optimize proficiencies and develop/scale operational management practices
  • Be a decision-maker for Deployment support across people, process, and systems, enabling the standardization and scaling of current processes
  • Proactively monitor, manage, and report on the execution of deliverables
  • Develop standards, metrics, and procedures that maximize deployment efficiency
  • Assess supply chain costs directly attributed to the support of different programs to provide a clear understanding of how current priorities affect performance
  • Support the Deployment team in line with Meta and IBOS strategic priorities, including end-to-end global program development, identification and oversight of strategic priorities, continuous improvement, development, standardization, and implementation of processes, tooling, and training
  • Enable effective operational performance and execution across Meta’s multi-echelon supply chain
  • Support developing and implementing tools, processes, and systems for tracking, analyzing, and reporting inventory
