About The Position

If you are an Electronics Supply Chain professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Power & Water Solutions business headquarters in Cranberry, PA, you will be responsible for identifying key design partners within the electronics OEM landscape and aligning technological and commercial needs alongside the OEM offerings to ensure we partner with the optimal manufacturers for long-term success. In this crucial role, a key focus will be on interacting with and understanding the needs of our technology groups to ensure a cohesive and cross-functional electronics sourcing strategy is developed. The ability to communicate with external partners and internal customers will be essential, as well as a deep understanding of the dynamic semiconductor and passive component industry trends, M&A activity and product portfolio development. This is a highly strategic role and understanding the changing landscape of semiconductor manufacturing, the implications to our business and developing a long-term strategy will be front and center to the position. Hybrid policy: You will have the flexibility to work one day a week remotely . In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Build lasting OEM partner relationships, providing leadership and ensuring executive-level engagement for strategic alignment so we remain an important customer through an ever-changing environment Actively collaborating with Technology Departments to map future technology needs with preferred OEM programs and leading negotiations for optimal results around cost, lifecycle and support Develop a robust preferred supplier list across electronic commodities to guide the Technology groups to where the optimal OEM choices are for development and long-term support Lead annual negotiations and contract implementation to provide supply protection, optimal cost and lifecycle support Work with Supply Chain, Technology, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering and our Manufacturing Partners to provide expertise and support through the supply chain Who You Are: Highly strategic with a strong customer service mentality, ensuring continued focus on internal collaborators and external partners to drive the results we require. A collaborative nature is needed to develop a company-wide strategy, navigating a variety of end goals but continuing to drive for results. For This Role, You Will Need: BA/BS degree or equivalent working experience. 5+ years Sourcing experience, with thorough knowledge of electronic components, both Semiconductor and passive. Experience with component Distributors, Manufacturing Representatives, and factory relationships. Strong presentation and communication skills. Demonstrated leadership skills, strong team orientation, and proven ability to communicate effectively to all levels of management required. Strong analytical skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Power BI. Ability to travel, mostly domestically, 10-20% with a possibility of international on occasion. Willingness to conduct calls after working hours with other world areas, as needed. Legal authorization to work in the United States without need for sponsorship now or in the future. Requirements

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent working experience.
