About the position

As an engineer in the Global Banking Markets, Mortgage Flow Technology team, you will build world-class pre-trade workflow and trade execution platforms for salespeople and traders, covering various asset classes across both voice and electronic venues. You will step onto the trading floor to solve real business problems leveraging cutting edge technology, build resilient services that can be used across applications and be called upon to guide the decisions of business leadership. Responsibilities

• Build pre-trade workflow and trade execution platforms for salespeople and traders, covering various asset classes across both voice and electronic venues.
• Propose, design, and implement software solutions to build scalable and reliable services and platforms using cutting-edge web & server-side technologies.
• Define and determine new strategic solutions alongside sales, traders and other engineers.

Requirements

• 1-2 years+ (Analyst level) / 3-4 yrs (Associate level) experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong programming skills in Java or web development (React, TypeScript, etc.).
• Experience in software development, including a clear understanding of data structures, algorithms, software design and core programming concepts.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills and ability to work across teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining strong attention to detail.
• Highly motivated with a strong sense of ownership and desire for impact.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous commercial experience in a business-facing, front office engineering role in the finance industry, building trading platforms.
• Knowledge of financial markets with experience in products such as Mortgage backed securities, bonds, CDS, indices or index options.
