About The Position

The Global Meetings & Events (GM&E) Project Specialist will provide project management and communications support to GM&E Management on multiple projects, contributing to streamlining efficiencies and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have the ability to convey relevant messages concisely and succinctly and produce influential presentations with creative content and design, to drive projects through to completion. The Project Management Specialist will play a key role in driving Global Meeting & Events processes, SOPs and specialty projects focused on reducing complexity and driving efficiencies. The ideal candidate will have the ability to drive projects and processes to completion while displaying critical thinking analysis. This position will not involve planning events, but will focus on project management of special projects 12 month contract with likelihood to extend up to 24 months. Boston/Hybrid

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of project management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills, including content writing to draft, proofread, and edit communications
  • Expert presentation building skills, with ability to apply understanding of target audience and develop compelling PowerPoint content and presentations.
  • Experience with website, registration sites, and/or design to create visually appealing content
  • Strong aptitude for logistics & attention to detail with ability to think creatively and critically to move projects through to completion

  • Expert project management skills to action a large portfolio of straightforward projects, effective multi-tasking skills, often managing multiple pressing priorities and working to challenging deadlines
  • Demonstrate ability to measure and analyze the outcomes of projects, process improvements, and leverage results to determine actionable solutions.
  • Ability to navigate and be successful in a fast-paced, time-sensitive, and cross-functional work environment
  • Demonstrate problem solving and critical thinking skills, and ability to compile and assess data to draw conclusions & identify trends
  • Ability to digest information quickly, apply existing knowledge, make connections across different areas, and identify areas to explore
  • Ability to build relationships and excel in collaboration with internal peers and external vendors
  • Expert in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end project management support to GM&E Management including development of project requirements, goal execution, timeline and deliverable plan, and progress monitoring.
  • Successfully drive projects through to completion, including facilitating and coordinating cross-functional team progress and alignment, and proactively providing solutions and resolving issues with recommended action items.
  • Support the development of processes, pilot processes, and propose ways of improving processes.
  • Revise and enhance SOPs and work instructions to ensure operational excellence, actively participate in team projects, support broader team goals, and propose opportunities for process improvements.
  • Analyze complex information, crafting compelling PowerPoints, and executive summaries for both internal and external audiences, including Senior Leadership.
  • Support meeting and event logistics on an as needed basis including venue sourcing, registration site creation, report generation, information collation, and coordination of meeting details.
  • Oversee the weekly team meetings, including management of the global event landscape, assign tasks, tracking data, and following up on items.
  • Provide support to team members as requested by GM&E Management.
