Primary Function of Position We are looking for a Global Mobility & Immigration Specialist to join our Total Rewards team, reporting to the Sr. Manager, Benefits & Global Mobility. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert in immigration and relocation programs within a global footprint. The role partners closely with our external immigration counsel, relocation management company, and tax services providers to ensure compliance, deliver a seamless employee experience, and optimize program costs. This position manages end-to-end mobility cases in coordination with vendor partners - including short- and long-term assignments, group moves, expatriate and repatriate transitions, and both domestic and international relocations. The Global Mobility & Immigration Specialist also advises internal stakeholders - including Business Leaders, HR Business Partners, Finance, Talent Acquisition, and other cross-functional teams - on mobility policies, legal requirements, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience working in the field of global mobility, including vendor coordination, expense management, expatriate/repatriate assignments, and domestic and international relocation.
  • Minimum 3+ years of U.S. immigration experience within an in‑house corporate environment; law firm experience is a strong plus.
  • Robust knowledge of immigration regulations and laws with the ability to translate guidance into practical business recommendations.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to explain complex cases.
  • Strong organizational, problem solving and project management skills (i.e. case volume, deadlines, regulatory timelines).
  • Proficient in MS Office suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects and tasks as a productive and resilient collaborator in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Desire to learn new areas and skills based on rapidly changing business environment and global growth.

Nice To Haves

  • Global Mobility Specialist Certification (GMS) or Global Mobility Specialist Certification, Talent Management (GMS-T)
  • Experience supporting mobility tax concepts (shadow payroll, hypothetical tax, tax equalization).
  • Experience with global assignment frameworks (short-term, long-term, permanent transfer policies).
  • Experience with Workday.
  • Please note this role requires being onsite 3 days per week in either our Peachtree Corners, GA or Sunnyvale, CA office.

Responsibilities

  • Primarily oversee the end-to-end mobility experience, serving as a trusted advisor and navigator throughout the employee’s journey and in partnership with external providers.
  • Initiate, monitor and manage the lifecycle of immigration and relocation for employees and coordinate with Talent Acquisition, HR, Legal, Finance, Payroll, Stock, Tax, and other internal cross-functional teammates.
  • Builds important internal/external relationships through advanced communication skills; knows how to influence and negotiate effectively through communications.
  • Contribute to special projects and provide insights and recommendations to our immigration and relocation programs based on need.
  • Introduce strategies and document processes, always seeking continued streamlining, improvement, and transformation.
  • Manage global mobility requests using a case tracking system through ServiceNow, and shared Outlook email inboxes - focusing on creating seamless employee experience, accurate and timely responses to stakeholders, and identifying and presenting trends.
  • Designated point of contact for time sensitive immigration documentation and record keeping as per government regulations.
  • Strategize long term visa sponsorship support and escalate high-risk immigration cases.
  • Contribute to and analyze the annual H-1B lottery cap process, assisting with case list prep, coordination with counsel, and development of communications.
  • Keep apprised of current mobility trends and critical updates related to government regulations and provide consultation to internal stakeholders.
  • Function as a consultant to managers and employees, providing guidance on the benefits, challenges, and resources available through global mobility programs.
  • Provide training to HR and recruiters on relocation programs and immigration updates.
  • Participate in quarterly business reviews with vendor partners.
  • Review vendor invoices and create and manage purchase orders.
  • Generate routine mobility and data analysis reports for audits as well as compliance requirements.
