Global Reinsurance The Global Reinsurance Underwriting internship program is designed to prepare college students and recent graduates for a career in underwriting and analytics.

Requirements

• Recent graduates or students expecting to graduate 2026/2027 with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Risk Management and Insurance, Business Administration, Finance and Accounting, Economics, or Data Science with minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred
• Must have a record of high achievement, analytical thinking, self-motivation, relationship building and a solid work ethic
• Strong communication, writing, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Ability to analyze and reason through complex problems and make sound recommendations in a fast-paced environment
• High energy self-starter, good decision maker with an entrepreneurial spirit
• Solid time management skills
• Computer savvy- experience with MS office suite

Nice To Haves

• Programming skills in R, Python, SQL a plus

Responsibilities

• Achieve standards established for success in the program by completing regular assignments; plan and prioritize work activities to achieve desired results within necessary time frames
• Actively participate by asking questions and volunteering answers
• Effectively use on-line resources, automation tools, and computer software packages
• Utilize analytical skill to assist in quantifying risk for the reinsurance business
• Continuously develop and strengthen the skills required for success
• Develop and implement processes for utilizing credit rating data from multiple agencies, including mapping of Global Re obligors to source data
• Create exposure profile templates for Casualty portfolio, collect data from the portfolio and design automation of future process
