About The Position

This role oversees vocal talent for Zion Church globally by managing auditions, providing coaching, and coordinating vocal arrangements to support the worship experience. Responsibilities include selecting and casting soloists for weekly worship services, as well as supervising and directing part-time vocal staff and volunteers across all Zion campuses. The position also includes key administrative duties, such as coordinating schedules and facilitating global worship experiences for the Music and Arts Department. Completion of the probationary period does not alter the team member’s at-will employment status. Requirements

  • Must have a working knowledge of music theory and its application in a performance environment.
  • Previous experience with teaching vocalists in a Christ-centered worship service.
  • Expertise writing and arranging vocal harmonies.
  • An innate skillset to creatively present the Gospel of Jesus Christ through music.
  • Previous experience in volunteer management by encouraging, coaching and developing team members who support the Music Department.
  • Schedule, promote and compose announcements for casting calls for worship teams, special events, and dramatic performances.

Responsibilities

  • Arranges and teaches vocals for Global worship set and experience.
  • Trains and supervises the Worship Leaders, Part- time staff and volunteers
  • Auditions, selects and coaches vocal talent.
  • Serves as the Worship Leader for all services and special events.
  • Builds teams & Casts roles for Music Department events.
  • Assists in developing creative concepts for Music Department events and special projects.
  • Works with the Multimedia Services Department to design visual elements which enhance the worship experience.
  • Composes communications to worship team members concerning the creative elements in which they will participate.
  • Managing the development and training the Global Experience volunteers.
  • Scheduling team members and supporting talent for special events, services and special productions.
  • When needed, coordinating musical selections with guest artists and provide activity reports for leadership.
