About The Position
The primary purpose of this position is day-to-day operations to maintain golf courses.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and a minimum of one month’s related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be aware of surroundings with an understanding of a golf environment.
- Must have the ability to see and react to the surroundings including errant golf balls and must understand and follow proper golf etiquette while completing tasks.
Responsibilities
- Course set up duties to present proper tee marker positions and hole locations.
- Set up duties also involve litter and waste removal, ball washer maintenance and general care and upkeep of course amenities
- Mowing and grooming; keep up playability and high quality appearance.
- Walking and riding equipment.
- Hand water turf; requires moving hoses manually and recognizing wilt conditions. This task is essential to keeping healthy turf.
- Hand labor; including raking, shoveling, pushing and divot repair to groom the course.
